About Miele repair
Why Miele owners in DFW call the Cowboys
Miele engineers its dishwashers, ovens, laundry pairs and built-in coffee systems in Germany to a long-service standard, and its owners expect them to last. The machines reward technicians who follow the manufacturer's procedures — from the diagnostic modes on a G-series dishwasher to the descaling logic of a built-in coffee machine.
A Miele kitchen is often all Miele, with ovens, coffee machine and warming drawer stacked in one wall, so we plan the visit around which appliance comes out of its niche and which can be serviced from the front. Steam ovens and coffee systems collect scale from hard North Texas water, and many of their faults trace back to it rather than to a failed part. Heat-pump dryers get their filters and airflow checked before any component is condemned.

FAQ
Miele repair — common questions
Why does my Miele coffee machine keep asking to be descaled?
The descaling reminder is driven by the water hardness setting and how much water has passed through. If it is set too soft for DFW water, scale builds faster than the machine expects; if the reminder returns right after a descale, we look at the water system, sensors and brew unit instead.
Is it normal for my Miele heat-pump dryer to take this long?
Heat-pump dryers work at lower temperatures, so cycles run longer than on a vented dryer. A cycle that keeps stretching or leaves clothes damp usually points to clogged lint filters, a blocked plinth filter or a condensate problem, and we clear and test those before looking deeper.
Can you fix a Miele Knock2open door that no longer opens on a knock?
Yes. First we confirm the feature has not simply been switched off in the settings, which happens more often than you would think. If it is enabled, we test the door-opening motor, the knock sensor and the wiring through the door hinge before replacing anything.
