About Thermador repair
Why Thermador owners in DFW call the Cowboys
Thermador's Pro Grand and Pro Harmony ranges, Freedom refrigeration columns, induction cooktops and Star-burner rangetops are among the most common luxury appliances in DFW kitchens. We repair the whole line, from a burner that will not light to a column that cannot hold temperature.
The Star burner's five-pointed shape spreads its flame ports further than a round burner, so uneven heat usually means blocked ports or a cap sitting off-centre. ExtraLow simmer cycles the flame on and off by design, which owners sometimes read as a fault — we confirm the behaviour before touching a valve. Freedom columns are fully integrated, so panel weight and hinge adjustment get checked alongside the cooling.

FAQ
Thermador repair — common questions
My Thermador burner clicks on and off at low heat — is that a fault?
Often it is not. On burners with ExtraLow, the flame cycles on and off to hold a very gentle simmer, and the igniter clicks each time it relights. If the burner clicks at higher settings too, or the flame will not stay lit at all, that points to a wet igniter, a switch or a valve fault.
Why is only part of my Thermador Star burner lighting?
Each point of the star carries its own row of ports, so food or cleaner residue in one arm leaves a gap in the flame. A cap that is not seated properly causes the same thing. We clean the ports and reseat the cap first, then check gas pressure and the valve if the flame is still uneven.
Can you work on a Thermador Freedom column set behind full-overlay panels?
Yes. The column is serviced with its panel in place where possible, and brought forward on protected flooring when the sealed system or rear components need access. Hinge tension and door alignment are reset afterwards so the heavy panel closes and seals properly.
