About Viking repair
Why Viking owners in DFW call the Cowboys
Viking brought the professional range into the home kitchen, and its open-burner ranges, rangetops, wall ovens and built-in refrigeration are still fixtures across Fort Worth and Dallas. Older Viking units are very worth repairing: igniters, valves, thermostats and fans are all straightforward to service.
Viking's open burners leave the flame exposed on a raised grate, so boil-overs soaking the igniters are a common cause of constant clicking. Older and current Professional ranges use different ignition and oven controls, so the unit's age shapes the parts list as much as the symptom does. On built-in refrigerators the condenser coil and fan get looked at early, because a kitchen that runs hot at the range works the cooling harder.

FAQ
Viking repair — common questions
Why does my Viking burner keep clicking even after the flame is lit?
The spark module keeps firing when it cannot sense a flame or when a switch behind the knob is stuck. On open-burner Vikings, moisture from a boil-over is the usual cause, and it sometimes dries out on its own. If it does not, we test the igniter, the knob switch and the spark module in turn.
Can you recalibrate a Viking oven that runs hotter than the dial says?
Yes. We measure the actual cavity temperature over a full heating cycle and compare it with the setting. A small offset can be corrected through calibration; a large or erratic swing usually means a failing temperature sensor, thermostat or control that needs replacing.
My Viking built-in refrigerator is warm but the lights work — what's wrong?
Lights only confirm power. A warm built-in usually comes down to a dusty condenser coil, a stalled condenser or evaporator fan, a defrost fault that has iced the coil, or a sealed-system problem. We work through them in that order, and any refrigerant repair is handled by EPA-certified technicians.
