Cooktops set into an island and the ventilation above or behind them are a system: when a downdraft sticks half-raised or a hood blower dies, the kitchen stops. We repair glass-top and gas cooktops, induction zones and boards, downdraft lift mechanisms and blowers, and hood motors, lighting, filters and controls.
Induction faults are diagnosed at board and coil level. Downdraft units are removed from the island only when the lift mechanism requires it. Remote and in-line hood blowers in the attic are serviced as well as the hood body.

Cooktops & ventilation — common questions
One induction zone stopped working but the others are fine — can it be repaired?
Usually yes. A single zone points to that coil or its driver board rather than the whole cooktop.
My downdraft is stuck in the up position — what now?
The lift motor, a limit switch or the drive linkage has failed. Do not force it; we can release it manually and replace the failed part.
Do you replace hood lights and filters?
Yes, along with blower motors, switches and control boards.
