About Whirlpool repair
Why Whirlpool owners in DFW call the Cowboys
Whirlpool washers, dryers, refrigerators and ranges are the workhorses of DFW households. Most repairs are quick when the part is on the truck — pumps, lid switches, heating elements, igniters and ice makers are all standard stock.
Whirlpool Corporation shares a lot of engineering across its brands, so a Whirlpool washer or dryer often runs on the same platform as a sibling from Maytag or Amana. That makes faults easy to trace and parts easy to match, which usually keeps a Whirlpool call short. We still watch the appliance run and test the suspect part first, so the repair goes to the real cause rather than the most common one.

FAQ
Whirlpool repair — common questions
Are Whirlpool and Maytag parts the same?
Often, because both are Whirlpool Corporation brands and share platforms on many washers, dryers and dishwashers. Not every model crosses over, though, so we match the part to your Whirlpool's model and serial rather than assuming. Where a shared part does fit, it's generally easier to source quickly.
Why does my Whirlpool top-loader stop with the lid locked?
The lid lock is part of the spin safety system, so a failed lock assembly, a drain that can't empty the tub, or a control that has lost track of the cycle can all leave the washer locked and paused. We test the lock, the drain pump and the wiring between them before deciding which one needs replacing.
My Whirlpool dryer runs but won't heat — is that an easy repair?
It often is. On electric Whirlpool dryers the element, thermal fuse or high-limit thermostat is the usual cause; on gas models it tends to be the igniter or the gas valve coils. A blown thermal fuse can also signal a clogged vent, so we check airflow too — otherwise a new fuse can blow again.
